Saif Ali Khan's 2nd Horror Comedy film after Go Goa Gone(2013).
The film was shot in Himachal Pradesh which is Yami Gautam's home state and Jaisalmer where she gave the first shot of her debut television show by the time shooting was completed, she ended up having a trip down the memory lane and feeling nostalgic.
Arjun Kapoor was an assistant director in the film Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003) where Saif Ali Khan was playing the parallel lead and in this film they both performed alongside each other as co-actors.
Initially when the film was announced in 2019 Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh were a part of the star-cast but when the filming got postponed and Fox Star Studios backed off from the project later on it was picked up by Ramesh Taurani and Akshay Puri and the cast was replaced with Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam and Javed Jaafery making Saif Ali Khan the only member being retained from the original cast.
