Major Konstantin Korsakov is a young but already experienced operative. His partner and former lover Inga Gordeeva helps him to investigate the crimes. Their next case is the murder of the previously convicted Kostomarov. The owner of the cafe Olga, who saw Kostomarov's quarrel with another man, recognizes the possible murderer from a photograph. But the detective feels that she is not saying something. Soon, the woman is assassinated.

In the city, two identical crimes are committed in a row: a person is immobilized with a shocker and, handcuffed, is burned alive in a car. Major Korsakov finds out that the two victims - Ushakov and Bystritskiy - knew each other. However, a third corpse appears, in no way connected with the previous ones.

In a vacant lot behind residential buildings, the detectives find the corpse of a man. The driver of the restaurant is killed. A local bandit, whose phone of the deceased is seized, says that he took it when he was already dead. Korsakov and his colleagues find out that the man was in close contact with the director of the restaurant Renata, the wife of an elderly and wealthy businessman and scientist. Soon the woman disappears .

In a parking lot near a nightclub, Major Korsakov finds a brutally beaten girl. Korsakov and Inga learn that the victim worked in the club as a dancer. After a short romance with the owner of the establishment, the girl stopped responding to him in return, and their relationship deteriorated sharply. At the same time, investigators find out that the victim has a lover who disappeared shortly after the incident.

Shortly before the suicide, the journalist records a video message in which she asks not to blame anyone for her death. Soon her body with a gunshot wound is found in the attic of the house. After that, in the park, detectives find the corpse of a man who was shot with the same gun as the journalist. In the girl's e-mail, investigators notice a letter of strange content that she received on the eve of her death. Gordeeva studies a website for suicides and finds out that the journalist received a letter from a person from this very website .

Korsakov's friend invites him to the presentation of a new computer game by the famous programmer Vadim Orlov. During the event, instead of a video with a game, a video of Vadim's bound wife, lying in a coffin, appears on the screen. An unknown person calls the programmer himself and offers to go through a terrible quest. In case of winning, the spouse will remain alive .

A traffic police officer stops the car to check documents, but the driver unexpectedly opens fire. The cop's partner kills the shooter. Soon, the investigators go out to the brother of the criminal. In the presence of Major Korsakov, the accomplices of the deceased call him and ask for a meeting, to which the detective himself is going. It turns out that the attackers want to take possession of the safe in the notary's office .

An unknown driver knocks down a man to death. Soon it is possible to find out that the car belongs to the owner of a jewelry store. His son confesses to the crime. But the businessman claims that he himself was driving. The detectives learn that a year ago, during a raid on a jewelry store, bandits killed his wife. Korsakov's colleague brings up old cases and finds out that after the incident, a man was arrested and released by a court decision.

A ten-year-old boy disappears in a shopping center. The surveillance cameras show that he is leaving the store with the man. Soon the child's mother confesses that the possible kidnapper is her lover. It is known that shortly before the incident, the boy chatted with a certain Niels, who introduced himself as a producer and offered him to star in the series.

In a vacant lot, the detectives find a car, and inside - a dead businessman. Nearby, an investigation team notices tire marks from a domestically produced car. It turns out that the day before, someone was following the merchant. At the same time, employees of the seventh department learn about the disappearance of the daughter of a former senator - a companion of the murdered businessman.

Girl Yulya with her brother gets to a private event on the occasion of the return to Russia of one of the precious eggs made by Faberge. Suddenly, the work of the great master disappears, and the next day the girl's brother is found dead. Korsakov learns that on the night of his murder, Yulya was detained by the police. The investigator who interrogates her is informed that his daughter has been kidnapped, and the man is ready to do anything to save her.

A man's body is found in an abandoned fort. The detectives immediately notice that the victim's heart has been cut out. Korsakov and his colleagues suggest that some kind of ritual might have been performed. It turns out that the day before his death, the man sold the apartment. An examination soon reveals that the heart was removed for transplantation.

During a noisy party outside the city, one of its participants dies, and her friend disappears without a trace. Major Korsakov finds out that shortly before the incident, the girls quarreled over a guy who was having fun with them. Investigators interrogate a pizza delivery courier ordered by young people and learn unexpected details.

In the university parking lot, someone sets fire to the assistant professor's car. The teacher himself dies, trying to save the portfolio with the dissertation. Korsakov, along with Inga, learn that the man was not popular with students, and no one knew that he was writing a candidate's thesis. The major interrogates the students, and three of them seem especially suspicious to the detective.

Inga learns that her former classmate, who works as a lawyer, is suspected of murdering a girl - the daughter of a judge. Gordeeva does not believe in his guilt and wants to figure it out herself. She asks for help from Korsakov, and the major joins in the investigation.

The famous photographer is found poisoned in his own studio. Shortly before his death, he was shooting for a young man working as a model. Major Korsakov learns that a woman in a bright designer coat entered the studio on the fateful evening. She turns out to be the stylist and former fashion model Ella, Korsakov's mother.
