The story is sweet nostalgic story which everyone of us can relate to. Mihir, a small town guy staying in Mumbai, struggling with the corporate world and betrayed by a girl after being 8 yrs in the relationship. He has not yet got over with that relationship but his mother, like all our typical middle class mother insist him to get married. The alliance is with none other than Sapna, a neighborhood girl who has moved to boarding school in childhood and never been in touch since then. Though unwillingly, Mihir met Sapna who came to Mumbai just for a day for an job interview. They both opened up and shared few small nostalgic moments from their old neighborhood in Rajkot. Sapna is a girl who live in the moment and on the contrary, Mihir is reluctant to get out of a past relationship. Spending few moments together they came really close to each other and now Mihir doesn't want them to leave the matter to fate. He wants her to stay with him as long as possible and fill him up with unforgettable moments. They had a steamy night together. In morning Mihir wakes up to find Sapna has left. He got a call from his mom that Sapna wasn't able to make it to the restaurant last night. And to Mihir's awe, he found out that the girl with whom he spent last night was not Sapna indeed. It was Alia, who he might not have noticed earlier and might be a girl who had a secret crush on him but never expressed her feelings. She just wanted to get him close one last time before she gets married the next day. She is indeed the 'girl next door' who we leave behind and loose in the race of time.
