Edit
The band that perform this movie's theme song is The Street Beats. Hiroshi Takahashi, the author of the manga Crows where this movie is based on is actually The Street Beat's fan.
Purely conjecture, but Rindaman appears to be inspired by the character Ricky Linderman in My Bodyguard (1980). Both are hulking and melancholy, feared by the rest of the school. Both wear old army jackets and both share the secret of accidentally killing a younger brother (or step-brother, in Rindaman's case).
The film became related to the high and low films in high and low the worst setting up a cinematic universe.
Adapted from the manga series "Crows" by Takahashi Hiroshi. The film presents the story that precedes the original manga. The characters have also been newly re-created.
In most fight scenes having Ogura shun, has the actors in the same scene as him getting punched
