Having just said farewell to Carly Turner, the Cravat Doctor and the Rani find themselves a year after the infamous Rebecca Martins scandal. However, when the Rani is captured for the crimes, the Doctor discovers there is a larger criminal at work controlling it all.
Landing on Darkheart, the Cravat Doctor and the Rani seek out the nearby town in order to determine what caused their arrival. Meanwhile, Jade is being manipulated by a familiar foe.
Having traveled together for some time, the Cravat Doctor and the Rani find themselves on an unnamed planet with a colony of TeTraps on the hunt for their greatest enemy - the Rani.
Whilst celebrating the completion of Patrick's new project, he and Phoebe find a man called Ben Smith, the exact double of the Cravat Doctor himself. Confused and interested, Patrick and Phoebe must investigate and find out who this mysterious doppelganger is.
Now knowing the true nature of the threat, Professor Chaddie must get her father and Ben Smith back to the Tardis and fast. With the help of Captain Fraser Ward at Torchwood, tensions will continue to escalate as the Daleks chase after their greatest enemy.
Ith the Tardis still self-repairing, the Cravat Doctor is given a case by Fraser Ward. UNIT is under attack. Soldiers are being kidnapped and taken. The Doctor, with Patrick and Phoebe Chaddie, work with Fraser and UNIT to find out what's going on.
London is in danger. With the Ice Warriors closing in, the Cravat Doctor and his friends must find a way to free Professor Chaddie from their clutches before the whole city is frozen.
