Elmeri wants to test the seaworthiness of the steamer "Puskii" and his crew. With a short cruise in mind, the Karvakuonot heads to the open waters. Elmeri's story about Robinson Crusoe becomes all too real, when the ship hits the rocks.

The trio is stranded on an island, the radiophone doesn't work and the other vessels pass them by. It's best to make a camp and spend the night there. Since they've time, Elmeri continues the story of Robinson Crusoe and Friday.

In the morning, Ransu does some fishing. After a meal the radio comes back alive again. Elmeri signals the location near Koljonselkä and soon they hear the sounds of rescue from above.
