This episode was okay but wasn't really needed. It could have been the first half of an episode but there was just a lot of information that wasn't necessary and you feel like is never going to come up again in the show.
By far my favorite episode of the series so far. So beautifully written & filmed and the actresses that play the young versions of Elena & Mia were fantastic. I absolutely loved this portal into their pasts.

Insanely good acting by the younger versions of the stars. Tiffany Boone deserves an Emmy, Golden Globe, or whatever other award they can throw at her for her performance here.
Flashback episodes usually don't work and this is no exception. They should have moved forward with the storyline instead of this nonsense.
I don't particularly care for the way this show was adapted from the book, and I also don't typically write reviews, but I was just STUNNED by how well Tiffany Boone portrayed Kerry Washington down to the way her freaking lips moved!! It was so good. That's all I have to say.

- GoofsNo one would choose Rochester as a half way meeting point between Cleveland and NYC! State College, PA would have made more sense.
