AUGUSTUS - A Monumentus Short Film

Jon Alston's short film, AUGUSTUS, is simply a masterpiece. Featuring incredible performances from the lead cast as well as tremendous writing from Ayinde Howell, this short film packs a ferocious punch in a short amount of time. Highly stylized and sharply cinematic to its core, AUGUSTUS presents the story of an escaped slave in 1841 who experiences visions of a contemporary future in which his ancestors are still burdened by injustices of systemic racism - thus compelling him to stand up and speak out. Powerful on all fronts, Jon Alston's film AUGUSTUS is a ABSOLUTE MUST WATCH for all.
