    touching, thought provoking and poetic

At the start of the film you get pulled into the story and slowly recognize the ancient parabel. The rhythm of the film, the languages used, the incredible scenery is breathtaking and poetic. It captures our human experience of loss, grief, hope and connection in a profound and earthy way. You feel wind, cold, cracking fire, linnen, wool, sand, skin and timelessness. Bravo for this beautiful and unforgettable film!

    Unusually insightful, beautiful.

You are rewarded for repeated viewings. Firstly, the film is visually beautiful. Reminiscent of Sigur Ros videos...mythological and reflective. The performances, albeit brief, are authentic and believable. The writing ambitiously threads a quote by French psychoanalyst Jacque Lacan to a Buddhist parable via pre-christian Ireland with wonderful success.

This film begs for discussion in community.

Looking forward to digging deeper into this remarkable artist mind, Helen Rollins.

A very relevant message for our time

An age-old story powerfully retold. Well worth watching. Each of us will know someone who would benefit from seeing this as well.

    Breathtaking and quietly powerful

This exquisitely crafted parable - brought to life on an expansive Irish landscape - quietly slips along, unfolding layers of our personal resistance to hardship to reveal a greater gift of connection through shared loss. Ultimately, we journey to the edge of the sea with this unnamed woman, confronted by the reality of our limited existence and empowered by its meaning.
