A great and original film with a brilliant cast and a stellar soundtrack!

Original story and good acting it's a very interesting fan film

I was one of the eager people awaiting the release for "Banished" since the last fan-film of DARKLIGHT FILMS. As I watched it, in places it did feel like some certain ideas were as so to say "cobbelled together" but once the companion was introduced, I felt the film found it's ground and was better performed afterwards.

A lot of the direction felt right, but some felt a little too much had hand-held elements. The writing was very good and made me excited and terrified in some places. This is the same with the special effects and the composed music.

Where I felt the film was not so good was in some of the more "contemporary" musical choices, there seemed to be a lot more than what really should have been needed. Some of the exterior scenes were a little hard to hear and might have worked better having ADR over the top of it. The exterior scenes of the pre-title sequence were possibly my "least" favorite part, seeming like it was (as mentioned earlier) "cobbled" from an earlier draft/earlier idea of the film as it seems out of place.

Overall, it is a very good fan-film but I think there should be some improvements for the next one.

A lot of fan films that have aired this year feel like they're trying too much to be Doctor Who, so much that the films don't hold up as films. This is different for 'Banished', as it's greatest strength is arguable its originality. It's a thrilling adventure, with phenomenal acting, gorgeous fx, and laugh-out-loud comedy. A must-watch Doctor Who Fan Film of 2019.
