This anime is pretty fun and has nice art style, but the series has its problems. At first i thought that its really good slice of life anime and i really liked that there wasn't an anime brother sister relationship between them but as the story progressed that changed.
The little girl that was clinging to him because she was scared because everything was new to her, became a girl with romantic feelings for her legal guardian and thats something that i hate and anime creators love.
Also the story doesn't really progress, don't get me wrong i know its a slice of life anime but its also a fantasy anime and i expected at least some action especially with that title but no, one episode after the other its all about how cute Latina is.
I wouldn't recommend this to someone, its not bad, but its not good either. Its the kind of anime that you forget that you ever watched them after a few weeks.

As much as the animation is gorgeous, the plot and the characters are just rather boring. It's just really like a typical dad/daughter anime but with only adding the fantasy genre and having the two main characters not be related because they are adventurer\demon.
I do get why the fans like this anime but I just found it was forcing itself to be a good fantasy anime when it was struggling so much. That's just my own personal opinion, I don't expect everyone to agree with my review but that's how I saw in this series.

Dale is a skilled adventurer in a fantasy world whose life is changed when he finds a young girl abandoned in the forest. She looks almost like an ordinary girl... she just has small horns indicating that she is a Devil. In this world devils all evil and he can't bring himself to abandon her so he effectively adopts her. He gives her the name Latina. She quickly learns the human language and is popular with the other adventurers at the inn Dale lives at. There is a question hanging over her; one of her horns is broken; this indicates she was rejected by her people.
If you were expecting a fantasy series with lots of fighting and adventuring you are likely to be disappointed. There is very little of either. Instead it centres on Latina getting used to human society and their acceptance of her. There are a few minor problems but in general the biggest upset for her is Dale going away adventuring. When he does we stay with her and watch her doing things like serving at the inn and learning to cook. In other words this is very much a cute 'moe' series. The episodes are fun to watch without excitement. The animation is good with impressive back grounds and nicely designed characters. There is one problem with it; it doesn't really go anywhere; as the final episode ended I was left thinking 'Is that it?'. Questions were left unanswered; presumably because the manga is ongoing. Overall though this is a charming little series so I'd still recommend it.

The story is very well written, however it is a slow boiler, taking time to flesh out the characters. It sets out the lands which the story takes place very well.
I find myself enjoying this as I would a good book,a good read slowly building on itself. Give this story time, and I think you too will enjoy it.

Being a guardian melts the rigid and adventurous heart of.a brave and stoic young man; himself barely into manhood. Warm, vulnerable and piercing grey eyes and a genuine winsome smile makes Dale adopt a shunned demon girl. He soon realises fate had brought him a gentle, loving and obedient child on the brink of starvation. And connect they do; becoming her protector and the prime object of her affection; as she instinctively is drawn to his kindness and care. A wholesome delight to see her grow out of her self-castigation and bloom to be the sweetest and most cherubic little girl, far more mature than her 8 years old. Yet despite her intelligence, industry and unintended popularity; she remains an earnest and sincere friend to all, granted the rare ability to see the good in others!
I doubt if anyone can see this series and come away stoic and unmoved.
Celebrate the beauty of a quite and humble spirit as is Latina!
