SPOILER: Jian Xi is a girl from Shanghai. She came to Beijing to look for his birth mother because her grandma passed away. But after she found Zhan Mei who was a famous actress and also her mother, the latter refused to claim the connection between them and humiliated her in front of the people. Jian was sad and she had no more money to spend. One night, Jian met Tang Fei who was a famous actor and tricked some money from him. She rented a place to live with the money but accidentally, Tang lives upstairs. Therefore the latter threatened Jian to do the chore for him to get joy. And Jian keeps working hard to earn money and continue her life.
