The movie experience reflected its low budget. David Stratton was generous in his review giving it 2/5 stars! Couldn't sit through this again even if was free.
Honestly... I've been waiting to see this movie forever because I have been wanting to see something new with Charlotte Best. But 1, I couldn't stay focused through this movie to get an actual account for the plot, which left me totally confused as to what I just watch by the end. Ok, she's "something special." But WTF IS SHE?!? A future Avenger? Soon-to-be member of the Legion of Doom?!
Very disappointing as the story started off ok but it just got worse and worse. Nothing really happened in the film TBH and the ending was just... well crap really!!!
Dad and daughter kidnapped,
Dad tortured to give up girl's secret.
Torture... Girl has flashback... Torture... Flashback... Torture... Flashback... Girl suddenly remembers she has (ridiculous superpower) Uses power to escapes.
The end.
Now you don't have to watch this slow movie. The reveal is telegraphed and anticlimactic. And I hesitate to even mention, but a movie where they put an almost 30 yr old modelesque woman in kids overalls and sneakers and pretend she's a teenager, feels like the casting director is a creep.

Solid performance from lead actor and supporting actor, remaining small cast of Russian (of course) thugs passable. Plot bizarre, turgid and barely understandable, pace slow, action barely evident.
Premise that the environment is our saviour laudable but cliched.
Not worth watching, as boring as Divergent.
I was the only one in the cinema and I'm not surprised. I started tapping out tunes on the arms of my chair to entertain myself.
