The movie experience reflected its low budget. David Stratton was generous in his review giving it 2/5 stars! Couldn't sit through this again even if was free.
So this is a easy movie to review all you have to say is #$@#$ was it about? Flashback, super powers, murders, kidnap, it's like the writer said hey lets take a bit of everything from everywhere and shove it in a blender. I would mention the plot, but I have no idea what it was. I guess the acting is okay but again how do you really know when there is just mountain sized plot holes in the script. So do a favour and follow the advice of the movie, ascend to something else.
The most exciting part of this movie was when I spilt my drink down my shorts... during the opening credits. I took my partner to see this, who is suffering from a spine injury and is on a heap of pain killers to the extent that opening the popcorn box provided entertainment to him.. yet half way through he turned to me (to wake me up) and say "this is awful". I was hoping for Saw meets Speed elevator style, what we get is X-Men meets Bridesmaids. This analogy makes no sense, but neither does the plot of this movie...so, I think it's a fair statement.
Solid performance from lead actor and supporting actor, remaining small cast of Russian (of course) thugs passable. Plot bizarre, turgid and barely understandable, pace slow, action barely evident.
Premise that the environment is our saviour laudable but cliched.
Not worth watching, as boring as Divergent.
I was the only one in the cinema and I'm not surprised. I started tapping out tunes on the arms of my chair to entertain myself.

The acting was pretty good, however the storyline was kind of confusing. Defs not for a casual viewing, I reckon peeps who are super into movies would enjoy this. But I personally found it confusing not terrible tho.
