The Lazarus Phenomenon is a film that deals with man's search for life after death. It is a riveting true-life drama that plays itself out in various locations including the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius.

A Glimpse of Eternity........and a MUST SEE FILM!

This movie is based on the true stories of Reverend Daniel Ekekuku also known as Daniel Eke and Ian McCormack who after his experience became a Pastor with the Assembly of God Church. Both men had an NDE (Near Death Experience) and their glimpses of Heaven and Hell. The acting is decent and the special effects are good especially for a low budget Christian film (It&#39;s not a DeMille,Lucas,Spielberg Epic or HBO or Hallmark Hall of Fame production). I don&#39;t recommend this film for children 14 or younger because of the graphic depiction of Hell.Now if the youngster is into Atheism,Agnosticism or the Occult then by all means they should see this film. High School age-Yes. This film should be seen by any Bible Believing Judeo-Christian whether they be of a traditional,evangelical,charismatic or fundamentalist denominational background. I would also recommend this film to skeptics,hedonists,liberal Christians and backsliding or carnal Christians. The Lazarus Phenomenon is about a phenomenon that has been growing about people who have died and have been clinically pronounced dead and who have mysteriously come back to life from being just minutes dead,hours dead and in the Reverend Ekekuku&#39;s case a couple of days dead.When both came back from the dead they had two glimpses of afterlife. One incredibly beautiful and the other horrible by description. The film is not just about the afterlife. It also deals with the fact that forgiveness also plays a large part on where a person will spend eternity. This film would be enjoyed also by the Bible Prophecy Endtimes crowd. To anyone who liked the movies and the messages from Escape from Hell and Final Exit you will like this movie and with one big difference-THE LAZARUS PHENOMENON MOVIE IS NOT FICTION THE PEOPLE AND EVENTS ARE DOCUMENTED CASES! My favorite quote in the movie is from Ian McCormack &quot;I WOULDN&#39;T WISH HELL ON MY WORST ENEMY&quot;. After seeing this film a person will think twice on joking about Hell or using the word Hell loosely. Some people who might not be happy with this film are the people known as hellfire insurance Christians who accept Christ as savior only as a way to get to Heaven but do not live a life that is pleasing to God. I&#39;m talking about the once saved always saved I can do what I want bunch.Spoiler:Watch and listen to what the Angel said to Daniel Ekekuku when he got his glimpse of Hell. The film is disturbing so much so it is thought provoking. The punchline WHERE WILL YOU (GENERALLY SPEAKING) SPEND ETERNITY?

This is a pretty good movie/documentary. Not as Biblical as I thought it would be but interested to watch. There is no specific scriptural support for near-death experiences. Many people use 2 Corinthians 12:2-5 as a biblical proof text of near-death experiences. However, this is taking great liberty with interpretation and makes the assumption that Paul had actually died when he found himself in heaven. The passage nowhere states that Paul had died. It was a vision that God gave Paul of heaven, not a near-death experience. We need to be extremely careful in how we validate our experiences. The most important test of any experience is comparing it with the Bible. Satan is always ready to cause deception and twist people&#39;s thinking. &quot;But I am not surprised! Even Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. So it is no wonder his servants can also do it by pretending to be godly ministers. In the end they will get every bit of punishment their wicked deeds deserve&quot; (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). Because the Bible is silent regarding near-death experiences, and scientific research has not been able to be performed reliably, we simply cannot accept the legitimacy of near death experiences on their face value. It would be too strong to state that all near-death experiences are faked, imagined, or Satanic, but there are still serious concerns, biblically, about the validity of near-death experiences.

This movie has left me feeling more confused at understanding how the judgment seat of Christ works and the great white throne judgment. It seems as though people are arbitrarily assigned based on a general thread of their life but there is no judgment process that is alluded to in the Bible. In the first account, this preacher was judged by an angel, not by Jesus Christ. Since when do angels judge saints and send them to hell in the Bible? I thought it was the other way around. In 1 Corinthians 6:3 it says the saints judge angels. Here a preacher failed to forgive his wife and had a vengeful spirit and because of this he would have gone to hell. The Bible does have a just expectation that Christians should forgive others as Christ has forgiven us and ALL Christian faiths, including Roman Catholics will teach this. On the second example, a man received Christ on his death-bed with the weakest sinner&#39;s prayer I&#39;ve ever heard (i.e. God, if you exist, forgive me) and he went to heaven. They must have picked two very interesting examples. It seems this video is more geared to people who profess they are Christians and believe they have fire-insurance or unconditional security. Especially since the pastor&#39;s account was more detailed and had more information and everyone would be shocked to see he didn&#39;t make it. The message is that holding unforgivenss to another person if you are saved (or believe you are saved) is worst than living a life of sin and then receiving Christ on your death-bed. You may as well be a heathen to God if you harbour unforgivness to anyone. Taken the wrong way (apart from the video&#39;s intent), one could almost feel there is a license to sin, as long as you hold no unforgiveness against anyone else and ask God to forgive you just before you die, or could discourage someone from living for Christ since you are missing out from the world and may go to hell anyway if you have a heart-sin. While it seems like a well meaning presentation, there are just too many loose ends made on it.

If possible, I would have given a -10 out of 10! I picked up this DVD as I have been researching in NDEs and paranormal phenomenons and wanted to find out what the documentary contained. This is nothing more than a Christian Propaganda movie. As with everything related to Christianity, this movie has been manipulated to the core and contains the &quot;true experiences&quot; of two people who&#39;s accounts cannot be possibly verified (i.e. by records of the hospital and the doctor and other non-vested interest parties). Please check out : http://www.nderf.org/site_index.htm for real NDE and please read through the account of a lot of people who&#39;s experiences are listed and their &quot;Religious&quot; motivations and how NDE has changed their lives and determine for yourself whether the propaganda in this movie is anything to go by! Also, for people who donate to Christian Charities - This is how your money is being used to convert illiterate people by false methods and commit genocide of ancient cultures resulting in loss of valuable and true information...

I thinks it&#39;s one of those movies all need to see. I loved the movie. I just recently gave my life to Christ and want my older children to see this. It really makes you think, where are you in life and where your going in the after life. The first time i saw it i was unsaved but knew i was on my way to giving my life to god. It can be kind of scary to others who had no belief in god or heaven or hell. It all boils down to your belief, faith and how your living. In the end all of us will be judged in judgment day. I really thank TBN for showing this outstanding movie. It really shed&#39;s some light on what can really happen. I particularly liked the atmosphere of heaven and the showing of what&#39;s to come in hell. The best part still remains ,,,, the forgiveness.. The young man had no idea he would not go on with god for the simple reason he never asked his wife for forgiveness before he got in the accident. I&#39;m sure we&#39;ve all did something we regret we never said I&#39;m sorry for and wished we had . Thanks for such a wonderful film..
