2 hours of my life I will never get back. Started with about 12 people in the theater. At the end, there were 3. Slow, terrible.
I hate it when budget production companies spend more money on filming in cinema quality resolution than compromising and spending some of the budget on semi known actors who have the ability to act instead of unknowns who try there hardest not to look like there regurgitation a script and actively trying to ignore the camera filming them.
Sort of breaking the forth wall without intending to break the forth wall.
After 10 minutes i had to look up the cast because i couldn't work out how the female love interest was dead one minute and pregnant the next because you can't keep track of the flashbacks and can't work out what is present day ?
I learned there were two female love interests. Both look incredibly similar. One had a hard time maintaining an american accent and her Australian accent poked through often.
I say 40 minutes because i had to go and watch some pain dry instead because that made more sense.

I am actually not going to say a lot about this movie as I didn't bother to watch it out. I am only saying that I was misled by the 6.6 average rating which is a very high rating. One should get suspicious when the ratings are either 10 or 1 to 2. That means that the low ratings are actual genuine feedback and the 10 ratings from the cast, friends and family. Terrible acting, a confusing and incoherent story, boring and pretentious trying to be something it is clearly not. Do not waste your time on this.
Thought this was a Macgruber sequel for about 20 minutes in, but sadly it's not. The main character even looks a bit like Will Forte! Unfortunately, it's just a regular old movie -- no throat rips, no sex scenes on the tombstone with the ghost of your dead wife, and no distracting the enemy with a stalk of celery sticking out of your butt. I'm going to go watch Macgruber. I would suggest you do the same.

Has all the production values of a bait and switch tv series pilot. First an engaging exciting airplane heist scene, after which practically nothing happens during the entire rest of the film. Almost 2 hours of overtly long drawn out scenes in which nothing of importance happens. Think about a bad slow tv drama and then double the slowness, it's unbelievable.
The music can be good at times and hides the fact that nothing of importance is happening, because the music conveys a sense of thrill. Take out the music and realize you're watching endless filler footage which simply does not matter. How this ever got distribution is a mystery, even Troma should've declined this borefest.

- TriviaQuestion: Did any of the actors playing fishermen have working experience on commercial fishing boats? Answer: Yes The father/son fisherman duo Doc and Tate (played by Mark Sehlbach and T. Ivan Winkler) both have decades of commercial fishing experience. They were both helpful to the production team to reflect an authentic fishing vessel environment during filming.
