It's as if they pulled random family members off the street and said, "It'll be fun! We can do it in one take! It'll cost a hundred dollars to make! What could go wrong?" It's truly the worst but it is mercifully short.
It doesn't deserve even one star but, for some reason, it won't let me give it less than two.

The "Plan 9" from Outer Space" of the "Christmas Carol" versions.
Part story part acted. Similar to the Vincent Price version with a Narrator.
You could tell the actors had fun and were very happy to be in this time-confusing low-budget movie. Some of the actors played more than one part giving if a very "slight feel" of theatre.
Don't expect special effects or CGI in this movie. They cut back to the narrative as soon as Scrooge approached the knocker on his door.
My wife has made it her mission to watch every movie version of this book. She and I agree it is the worst so far, but is it so bad it's good?

A complete waste of time.
More than half the story is told by the narator simply reading the book to the audience with little emphasis.
Supposedly set in the current era; however, many thinly-veiled and confusing references to Dickens' original time.
I have never left a review before . But I just wanted to say this is the most painful viewing I have ever seen Acting very amateurish and wooden . I'm also confused . Is this modern day or not ?? Settings are fairly recent but the costumes are not
As a huge fan of Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" and someone who loves watching the various iterations of it: Have your neighborhood kids to do a dramatic reading of the story. The production value will be far greater than that of this movie.
I've never been so grateful for commercial breaks and did not finish watching because it was just plain awful. Painfully bad.
There may be some comedic value in the appallingly bad sets, awful "effects," and ridiculous costuming that screams "We raided a thrift shop's donation bin for these clothes."
Important scenes and dialogue are cut out or cut short. The acting is flat and emotionless. Nothing about this "film" is worth watching. Skip skip skip.
