No pun intended - the third movie finally came out. And I got reminded that I never saw the second movie in the now trilogy. I remedied that fact, just to be up to date with all the shenanigans and all that.
Of course this adds even more family into the movie. And all things considering it juggles all the characters and themes and stories quite well. You will not see too much of the very little ones. But they are there - and there is only so much story you can tell, so many characters you can actually focus on.
You could critisize how the screen time is shared ... I personally think this is close to perfection as it gets. Clever dialog and a lot of humor based on things we know are wrong. Claude still not able to shed his feelings and thoughts ... but he also is someone who is a good husband. I mean no one is perfect, right? The answer is yes and right.
Not sure if that will conclude the Ms. Claude story (and that of his daughters and extended family - no pun intended), but if it is, it is quite a good one to go off on.

First of all I don't understand why this movie has such a bad rating. I love the movie! It is just so funny again to see the all the family members from different origins telling jokes about each other. I literally laughed the whole movie so good was it. For me it's the best out of the 3 movies. If you loved the first two movies or even just one of them this movie is for you. If you are not sure if you should watch this movie because you have only watched the first one, don't worry, I watched the second one after the third one and I understood everything. It's one of the best comedy movies I have ever seen, it's just a Comedy Highlight! Go watch it!
"Qu'est-ce qu'on a tous fait au Bon Dieu?" (2021) continues the lighthearted charm of its predecessors, delivering a classic comedic experience with a modern multicultural twist. The film skillfully blends humor with its exploration of cultural diversity, showcasing the quirks and dynamics of a large, mixed family. Its setup, rooted in misunderstandings and cultural clashes, provides plenty of entertaining moments. While it doesn't stray far from the familiar formula of Italian-style comedy, the relatable characters and clever dialogue keep it engaging. Some jokes hit harder than others, but the film's heartwarming message about family unity and acceptance shines through. A delightful watch for fans of the series.
What a pleasure to find the Verneuil family for a third part just as successful as the previous ones, the plot of this new part is so exciting with these situations to die of laughter, it is too funny from beginning to end (a pleasure of cinema total)
I've finally finished the whole trilogy, and it didn't fail to make me laugh out loud from the start to finish! Every movie has a different theme, and even though I found getting to know the Verneuil family the funniest at the begging (Qu'est-ce qu'on a tous fait au Bon Dieu 1), the following sequels did not disappoint. We met their extended families-in-law, the children, their cultures and parents. Even through the highs and lows, in the end, you can't help but feel endearment towards Mr and Mrs Verneuil and their life they've built over the 40 years, still living with love and affection.
On a side note, I wish there was no replacement of the original actress playing one of the daughters.
