Highly Informative Documentary

7 Hills is about the art of skateboarding. The skateboarders learn how fall, pick themselves up and eventually concur the skateboard move or stunt.

excellent doc about how sports can bridge gaps

Wow. Very nicely crafted documentary about how, in a war torn country, life can prevail through the simplest of sports/hobbies. In this case skateboarding in Amman. Skateboarding is s bridge between those who might not be willing to share the same space as adults, and tells this lesson nicely. Good doc. Worth a watch.

Very moving documentary

I really enjoyed this movie and highly recommend it. It turned out to be much more powerful than I had originally thought and I was moved by the common thread giving each of them hope in their skating community. Something for all ages and very informative about the plight of the people living in Amman and the artistic community accepting others and encouraging their originality and dreams.

Powerful skateboarding doc

So much more than a skateboarding movie, this doc shines a light on the sport, it's culture, and the culture of Amman, Jordan. It makes for an eye-opener into the social/political/cultural challenges in the middle east and how skateboarding can be used to transcend struggles and boundaries. The skateboarding footage was really amazing, so enthusiasts of the sport will certainly not be disappointed. And the interviewees were compelling and pulled you into the world, provoking much thought and discussion. Ultimately, I felt encouraged and inspired by the film.

Enlightening, interesting, and enjoyable documentary

I especially appreciate documentary's that take me into a new world, where I learn about new places and people. That is exactly what this film does. Skateboarding may be a global well known sport, but people skateboarding in the countries in this film is an enlightening experience to explore. Perseverance, unity, childhood innocence, drive, determination are all themes in this film. It was interesting for me to get a glimpse, beyond the typical news flashes, of life in the middle east countries for these kids/families.
