    bi

For all the haters: Constantine was always bi, i dont know why it bothers you so much, but fr stop acting like a five year old and suck it up.

    Anyway, Jenna Colman supremacy.

    There was no gender swap

Even a quick google search shows that in the comics Johanna is a descendant of John.

Show far this show is really interesting. Hope it stays on this path and not let us down.

gender swap nothing to do with being woke

DC owns Constantine and the character is already planned to be elsewhere in their own DC expanded universe and has already appeared in other DC animation. The Sandman is owned by Gaiman.

    Was it necessary?

Aight episode but then again why can't they be faithful to the comics. Read the comics last night and it was epic and the feeling the character of john gives is not really given by Johanna.

For those thinking its a gender swap its really not they just freaking changed the whole character.

    Brilliant...

Wow. Like a giant ice cream sundae with every topping you ever wanted. This episode moves through every feeling and emotion idea good bad love hate and does it beautifully and without any wasted filler.

    • Trivia
In the Casanova Club sequence at the beginning of the episode, there is a poster behind Johanna Constantine (at the 1:114 mark) promoting Muchas Membrane. Fans of the Hellblazer comic book series (or the TV series "DC's Legends of Tomorrow") may recognize this as an homage to the source material and the character of John Constantine. In both Hellblazer and Legends of Tomorrow, Constantine is revealed to have been the lead singer for Mucous Membrane, a punk band in the late 1970s.

Dream: In fact, where I am going I may have need of you.

Matthew the Raven: Yeah? Where we going?

      Dream: Hell.

Matthew the Raven: Hell? As in Hell Hell? Or were you being... metaphorical? 'Cause either way we should probably check in with Lucienne first, right? See how she's feeling about it? I'm gonna go out on a limb which is something birds actually do and say she will not be in favor of Hell-going. But I don't get a sense that you're listening so, fuck it, let's go to Hell!
