Ugh, I was a little excited when I saw the preview for this extension series but that quickly faded as I started to watch. This series feels HEAVILY scripted or at least poorly-acted roles. What you can expect: IG "my brand" thot-like thirst and dumb and petty scripted squabbles in a sea of the same formula with occasional camera shots of their tattoos on their phone screens that they may or may have not done. I just want ONE of these "Ink" tattoo shows for POC to actually have some sort of positivity to it or at least showcase the artists' work more often so there would be a reason to cheer them on vs feeling embarrassed for their parents and other tattoo artists that do work hard and provide a professional and quality service. Oh well, maybe Black Ink Mars will be more inspiring If you want to try out any of the series, I would suggest Black Ink New York the first two or so seasons. It showcases more of the artwork and feels more like an underdog story before it turns into a mess.
