    Nicola Coughlan and Claudia Jessie!

I could watch Nicola and Claudia all day. What wonderful up and coming actresses!

    The last episode for me.

I gave this series a chance. I hoped that once the wedding night was over we could go to the other characters for some interesting plot points and dialogue, and we did get a few minutes of Miranda being the entitled victim and George the horrible criminal, over their consensual affair, in the typical contemporary view.

However, 90% of the episode was Daphne and Simon having sex. Really? Is that what the screen writers do when they can't think of anything else? Is that all the 14 year-old audience wants to see?

Well, I'm an adult and I think watching sex is like watching people eat. It's nice when you're doing it, but boring when it's someone else.

    Lovley frindship

The part I love the most in this episode is when Penelope goes to Eloise.

Despite their fight and the fact that they had stopped speaking to each other, Penelope still trusted her friend during her most vulnerable moment and went to her, simply needing a shoulder to cry on without any words shared.

Eloise, without hesitation, ran to her.

This moment beautifully captures the essence of true friendship, one that is unwavering, forgiving, and deeply compassionate.

When you face a hard time, you know where to go.

It's the kind of bond many of us long for but rarely experience in real life.

Watching this, I couldn't help but wish for a friendship like theirs, one that withstands misunderstandings and challenges.

Unfortunately, friendships like this seem to exist only in books, TV shows, or stories.

In the fake, self-centered social media world we live in, finding such a pure and genuine frindship is nowhere to be found.

As for the rest of the episode, the music and songs were truly wonderful, adding depth and emotion to every scene. However, the after-story of Daphne and Hastings felt underwhelming and poorly thought out. Their arc, which started with such promise, seems to have lost its magic, and it's a shame because it could have been handled with more care. Overall, the episode had its highs and lows, but the depiction of Penelope and Eloise's friendship truly stole the show for me.

    baby mama drama

Baby mama drama everywhere you look. Decent enough storyline, though still dreadfully mundane and a bit predictable. Love the costumes and decent acting, really enjoyed Daphne in this episode.

    • Trivia
Mostly to assist American viewers: the "Gretna Green" referred to many times in the episode is a village in Scotland, literally just over the border along one of the only well maintained roads of the time. When the story takes place, England had laws in place preventing anyone under 21 from marrying without parental consent, however Scotland had no restrictions on anyone over the age of 14, and furthermore the ceremony only needed to be witnessed by a set number of individuals; no ordained priest was required.

    • Quotes

Anthony Bridgerton: You barely know the young lady. What on earth were you thinking?

Colin Bridgerton: I was thinking you would probably respond like this and how little I would care to hear.

Anthony Bridgerton: Do you think this is a joke? Poor Mother was beside herself.

Colin Bridgerton: Mother seems perfectly happy to me. She congratulated us.

Anthony Bridgerton: So, you compromised this young lady?

Colin Bridgerton: Certainly not. I am a gentleman.

Anthony Bridgerton: Then why ever would you...

Colin Bridgerton: Why does anyone marry, brother? For love, of course.

Anthony Bridgerton: Look, I know you are still rather green, and that is my fault. I should've taken you to brothels when you returned home from Eton. So if this is simply a matter of wetting your wick...

Colin Bridgerton: You really are an ass. Do you know that?

Anthony Bridgerton: This is what comes of not sowing your wild oats. Proposing to the first chit you set your cap at.

Colin Bridgerton: Enough! You insult me and you insult my intended. It is not my fault, nor Marina's that you cannot fathom true attachment.

Anthony Bridgerton: You are still a child, Colin.

Colin Bridgerton: I'm older than Daphne and you were happy to marry her off.

Anthony Bridgerton: It is not the same and you know it.

Colin Bridgerton: I know nothing of the sort.

Anthony Bridgerton: Then you betray your immaturity!

Colin Bridgerton: If I caused Mother discomfort today, I am sorry for it. I shall speak with her. The truth is, I do not require your permission to marry Miss Thompson... but I would very much prefer to have your blessing.

Anthony Bridgerton: Then I am afraid I must disappoint you.

Colin Bridgerton: You have... in more ways than one.
