Knights in Newark is about about a young girl with a vivid imagination that lives in an apartment building that has been cursed by the black knights that have appeared in her neighborhood. The girl, Marta, makes it her mission to protect her parents from the curse at her own peril, even if it means angering the witch that lives in Apartment 1A - Knights in Newark is a dystopic fable that addresses the current immigration crisis effecting hundreds of thousands of families in the Unitied States. In the last six months alone the tactics used to enforce questionable deportation laws has seen families separated at a moments notice with no civil or legal protection. The result is an entire generation of legally born children faced with the ongoing threat of having their parents taken away, never to return.
