Irish Fantasy

In a make-believe Ireland, where everyone talks like a cartoon leprechaun, Don Novis sings old favorite Irish-style Tin-Pan-Alley songs to his lady love.

It's an odd assemblage of behind-the-screen talent, with musical director (which makes sense) Hugo Riesenthal and set-designer William Cameron Menzies (which doesn't), producing, and the unfortunately named O. O. Dull directing. Dull would later go to MGM, where he would produce some of their popular series programmers, and one odd and excellent documentary about the Antarctic.

As for this short, it's ok if you enjoy Don Novis singing Oirish songs, but it's laid on with a trowel.
