The opener was a fun spotfest where Solow & Starks showed what they can do; the highlights were Mastiff/Lykos interactions and the low point was the finish (***1/4). Bird vs Bone was a satisfactory big lads match (**3/4). Storm vs Di Matteo had a lot of intensity and yet no reason for me to care; they threw some big moves and strikes, and Toni did power moves while Laura did dives, but Laura is green and Toni just cannot interest me so this was just there mostly (**1/2). Riddle vs Banks tried to be an epic in the middle of a card when they were going to do a distraction finish, and it all just felt unnecessary; both guys put in the work but it was just too much (***). The 4-Way was 75% guys I don't care about so I skipped a lot of it, but it looked like a generic spotfest (sorry Gibson, you're great). Dunne vs Dennis started fine, started to get REALLY good, and then the heel HHH impression shit just made it end on a wet fart; BSS's bullshit certainly gets heat but it holds back matches (***1/4). The BSS formula of a spotty, structure-less brawl that breaks down from the start and has Seven not really stand out at all is grating on me; the BSS/Ringkampf match was awesome but everything else has been inferior in all aspects; BSS vs War Machine had some good hoss stuff from Hanson & Rowe and some great strength from Bate, but it went too long and felt too aimless before a fucking belt shot finish (*** to ***1/4). The weakest PROGRESS Chapter show in a long time.
