The Curse of Raven Heights

Sometimes you can see how much a film is pulled together by not only the dedication, but the talent and creativity of the cast and crew. While this isn't Citizen Kane it is an example of people trying to and succeeding in making a film on their own. Skilled actors were given the opportunity to lean into roles without making space for bigger names and you can see every dollar on the screen when it comes to art department and tech. Settings and props were used imaginatively to not only create suspense but also two different time periods. One thing that is very apparent is the skill in the lighting department especially in the spirit world scenes. The look is ethereal and the sense of being outside of time was achieved with talent rather than pixels.
