Been into this franchise since the first game came out, and it was FULL of references, with just the right amount of fan service, if you love the games you'll LOVE it, also definitely worth the watch if you haven't played the games. Some cool hidden bits and some iconic lines, if you love the games you definitely won't miss it! The audience gasped, cheered and clapped, the screening i went to was on day 1 and there was a full screen it was amazing ! Differed from the game lore a bit, so even if you've played the games you'll be getting new content, mostly fnaf 1 orientated bur you'll love it i promise!
This movie is just awesome, every second of the movie is build up for the real scares at the end of the movie, THE CREDITS, I was so scared by the end I physically jumped out of my pants and through the cinema roof and landed on mars before Elon musk(the tesla man). Another aspect of the movie I really enjoyed was the fact that it was based in the canonical Minecraft lore, I know that it is based in the Minecraft because I've seen videos on youtube with freddy fazbear in Minecraft chasing gaming youtubers like mark rober and those are scary but not to the affect of this ma15+ masterpiece of scares and man... even if you dont like scares the build up (as I previously mentioned) is intense but captiving and reels you into this Minecraft Freddy Fazbear world.
I'm gonna be honest, this film has terrible writing and most of the acting is honestly abysmal. The timing is off and its just not scary at all. Critics hate this film and it shows with 23% on rotten tomatoes and 5/10 here. But OMG I love this film I have seen it twice now. Its just so much fun. It is annoyingly faithful to the source whilst making it more digestible for the average viewer. The VFX are on point the set design is entertaining and honestly Matthew Lillard and Josh Hutcherson are brilliant with what they're given.
I'd recommend this to a fan for definite, but there's still alot for an average viewer to enjoy.
I'm hoping if they do another film they work on the writing. With child actors it's always a mixed bag so no faults either side.

This is a spoiler free review,
I played fnaf 1 & 3 so I had basic knowledge on the series before the movie. I was expecting most of the stuff which is a positive as the people making this really wanted this to be the definitive fnaf movie.
I like the opening, it's pretty fun to watch and gives us the basic idea for the animatronics motives. (Not gonna spoil it) but after that, the movie sort of forgot it's direction with the story so therefore I was just questioning a lot of the minor details but they didn't make the movie very bad.
Yeah it was okay, enjoyable but not for me. It's watchable.

Was so excited to see this fan made FNAF film in Minecraft and was so happy with how good it was, I hope they make a sequel or at least a spin-off because this was an incredible fan made film about FNAF! :)
