Very good movie

This is a movie that is attractive to mostly older people rather than younger because of the main character is a woman of more than 70 years old. However the other main character is around 40 years old which should be attractive to younger people. I loved this movie very much, so did my wife. We thought we would be attending a funny movie and laugh all the way. We did laugh several times but we also were very much moved by the plot. The actors were excellent, especially Beatrice Picard and Sylvie Léonard. Other actors were also very good and we very much liked the actress playing the role of the secretary. The music is quite good as well as the photography and the costumes. All in all it is a movie that older people will enjoy more than younger people because of the story.

Delightfully entertaining tale!

I fell upon this film quite by accident and had no expectations. The storyline sounded intriguing -- something about 'a lively aunt with a past interrupts the daily routine of her serious-minded niece.' The story was a delightful surprise -- it is laugh out load funny and a gem of a film that explores a different angle of the dysfunctional family dynamic. This is one of Canada's most entertaining films of the year -- even better (I think) than Bon Cop, Bad Cop. I am surprised it has such a low rating, I don't know why, because even in English subtitles the film is funny. I fear what will happen is that some American film company will come along and remake it with Shirley McLean. My only complaint about the film is that I wanted more.
