Lost in translation

The lowest point so far of an unnecessary second series. After her useless trip to Budapest, Nadia finds herself in the year 1944, back in Budapest and trying to save her grandma possessions only to find out that she cannot change the past, except she did in the previous series, therefore the rules have changed but she was not informed... or something.

Also, this series must be sponsored by tobacco companies, because Nadia is chain smoking and littering non-stop with her cigarette butts thrown here, there and everywhere. I guess setting on fire a warehouse packed full with wooden crates is not even crossing Nadia's mind, she's focussed only on the Krugerrands.

Nadia comes up with a scheme to secure the valuables in 1944, and finds that Chronos disputes her rights. Some excellent Russian Doll fun with the fabulous receding vaulted ceiling shot, the spiral staircase and the train itself.

Another great episode.

Trivia
The Krugerrand is a South African gold coin first minted in 1967. It was the most popular choice for gold investors during the bull market of the 1970s, then fell out of favor during apartheid. In 2022, a 1 ounce Krugerrand coin is worth $2,007.40.

Goofs
At around the 7 min 50 sec mark when Nadia flips over the metal antique piece, you can clearly see a UPC on the bottom of it. UPCs were not in use in the 1940s.
