Summaries

  • Slade and Frankie have long owed money to the local mobster "Oily" Picatto for their fledgling doggie-dating business. With the help of high-stakes poker player Alligator Swanson, they are directed to the mysterious Scarlett Livingston.

Synopsis

  • Slade Polkinny is trying desperately to get his new doggy-dating business off the ground, but he's already twenty-eight thousand dollars in debt to the local mobster, Oily Picatto. His apprentice and business partner, Frankie Abrazzo, has his own problems and therefore isn't much help. Frankie's just been ghosted by a girl he really liked when he and Slade are jumped in a back alley by Oily's henchman and henchwoman. They give them three days to pay the debt or face dire consequences. In desperation, Slade and Frankie then go to Alligator Swanson, an old friend of Slade's who used to have that kind of money just lying around the house due to his high-stakes gambling habit. Alligator isn't much help, but he does remind Slade that Scarlett Livingston, a woman he used to date and who Slade knew as a teenager, probably has enough money in the safe in her basement to help them pay off their debt. It all sounds very promising until Alligator's girlfriend, Emmylou, reminds them that Scarlett forgot the combination to that safe ages ago and has no way to get into the safe. Slade and Frankie decide that it's still their most promising lead and set off for Scarlett's house.

Scarlett remembers Slade and she's happy to see him. She's even more happy to see his handsome friend Frankie, whom she has an instant attraction to. She tells them that she does indeed have enough money her in her safe to bail them out, and she'd be happy to help, but she hasn't been able to remember that combination for years. As Frankie and Slade try to help her remember, she informs them that stimulation has always worked in her case. Through her increasingly obvious flirtations with Frankie, it's apparent that he may be the key to unlocking that slim chance for her to remember the combination. The clock is ticking...
