I actually liked how it was Sam and Dean being smart and human that found the right way to win. I didn't care for the whole god evil as the big bad thing. But it was certainly a good way to end the storyline and I loved the last montage.
I don't normally write reviews, but had been planning on writing one for my favorite show's finale...but I can make an exception this time.
This episode is not the full Supernatural-feel that we're used to and obviously wanted for the almost-series finale. But hear me out...it's the Covid-version we needed, and the one *they* needed as a cast.
If you keep up with their socials, you know scripts were changed, shooting was postponed, and limited crew were brought on. The team did what they could to finish the story in the best way possible. I honestly had no clue how this was wrapping up, and I'm legitimately happy with this season finale/next-to-last series finale episode. It isn't perfect (dialogue isn't great, moves at a weird pace, odd cinematography choices) - at least it's no leviathan season, thank goodness - but some surprise people pop up and we get a heavy punch of nostalgia at the end...about as Supernatural as it gets.
I've watched this show since the airing of S2 and have been a big, big fan since. Love our boys and will have my tissues ready for the finale next week. Give the guys and crew a break on some of this - no, it's not exactly what we wanted in a series finale, but they're doing everything they can to wrap things up in a pandemic for us. Carry on.

Incredible, I loved it. There was a scene between Sam and Dean that made me cry happy and nostalgic tears. Clink.
The story was good imo, but the pacing was weird and how they ended their story with god/chuck was not satisfying tbh. I expected more from the show

I really liked the episode. The show ended how it started, with the brothers on the road. It was very emotional.

- TriviaWhen the boys walk into the bar there is a beer tap that has been left running. Dean walks over and turns it off. The tap bears an "FB" logo for "Family Business Beer Co." - the brewery founded by Jensen Ackles, his wife Danneel and their family.
- GoofsWhen Dean arrives in the Impala another car passes by in the distance in a presumably empty world.
- Quotes
Betty: Asshats. I have opened the book.
Sam Winchester: And?
Betty: And it's in here. All that you want. I know how God ends.
Sam Winchester: Wait a second. You're sure about this?
Betty: Of course I'm sure. I'm Death.
Dean Winchester: You've been Death for an hour.
