Partyline was based on interviews producer/writer/ director Chris L. Griffin had with friends who used both online and telephone social media.
The entire shooting schedule was competed in 10 days.
Partyline premiered at the Gene Siskel Film Center during the Black Harvest International Film Festival in Chicago, Illinois.
Upon achieving a distribution deal with Maverick Entertainment Partyline was renamed "Dangerous Obsession".
