The film features Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Pandey in the lead roles. The story of the film is about a boy and a girl who meet each other in the middle of a night. The film was announced by unveiling the first look of the film on by film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter.

      The movie was surrounded with controversy from the beginning. In the of the songs, the lyrics were "your skin is so fair that Beyonce would be embarrassed". This was just months after the huge BLM protests in the USA. The producers later changed the problematic lyrics.
