Nowadays in tamil cinema when it comes to big stars , director concentrate on satisfying thier fans rather what cinema is. Pathetic a director lost his path. We have lost a potential young director .Ajith ,Vijay need to leave thier mass hero subject and play a real actors role ,a hero among us kind of a role,if not I'm sure cinema is going to let them down in the way.
Its not a H Vinoth movie. But complete treat for Thala fans and family audience . Stunts vera level . Many scenes are predictable but still yuvans BGM make them disappear . It's not a worst movie One time watchable mass entertainer . It has the content to get a commercial hit.
Well i come from Maharashtra and i knew not much about Ajith i had seen his transformation scene on YouTube, that's it. Then my dear friend recommended me one of his film i.e. Mankatha and i extremely liked that film and within week this films trailer had dropped which i liked so to say i was excited is an understatement.
This is without a doubt one of favourite films of the year the action set peieces are meticulously choreographed. The characters are relatable and that is the reason why this film work, the acting by all the cast members are good but the best thing about the film is the direction and cinematography.
Overall very good film that you can enjoy with family.

A police officer tries to catch the principal offender who's the main reason for the crimes happens in a city.
Though this film follow some commercial templates, the essence of this film was so clear and didn't fades away at any point. And this film addresses some real crime numbers that were still continuing in the city. The reason for the crimes, why it's happening, and what's the problem with the person who commits the crime was showcased clearly. Ajith Kumar and the stunt sequences in this film were the main reason to holds the audience. Ajith's presence in each scenes gives the goosebumps especially the intro scene and his stunt scenes. The action sequences were so good. And want to tell mainly that the performance of kartikeya was so good and he handles all type of emotions well. And he is the perfect villian option for this film and for Ajith also. Imagine, how should an actor be powerful and fit to play a role/villain against Ajith as he itself a perfect villan and hero. The cinematographer and editor gave their work good and I think they did their best because the cinematography and editing was the reason to the action sequences came out so well. The back ground score was good and gives goosebumps. Finally the director H Vinoth, he tried his best to maintain the essence of the film till end and yeah definitely he won in that. But where he missed out was he followed some commercial templates as it felt disappointed came from him. Other than that his direction was so good and the way he potrayed the crime scenes was awesome. The solution he gave at the end was acceptable and he gave the solution from his point and it suits well.

Why are movies like this even made today? Valimai, starring Ajith Kumar is as every bit a cliché as you'd have expected it to be. It wasn't boring, because there was at least something going on on screen, but whatever that was, it certainly didn't add anything meaningful to this bloated genre in this bloated film industry.
The worst offender of this movie is its horrible villain, and his horrible character development. It's the most basic "bad guy who's ripped enough to look like an underwear model" with no depth or dimension whatsoever. And everything tied to his character too, was cringe-worthy. From the whole Satan's Slaves gimmick, to his brain-rotting "edgy" Tumblr incel philosophies and to his motivations of taking whatever he wants that makes him happy. Take some writing classes before you write a screenplay, Jesus Christ.
Overall, it wasn't a horrible movie but it's nowhere near even being average. Sad to see Ajith Kumar loosing his respect as an actor for his gnat IQ movie choices, one movie at a time.
