I was on the edge of my seat this entire film! Not only was this an amazing watch, but it really brings awareness and clarity into the hidden issue of modern sex trafficking. Very eye opening to the possibilities of what some have gone through and are still going through today.
The movie is 85% suspenseful fiction and 15% non-fiction, but the fiction really delves into the real life possibilities of the non-fiction element. The first 2 minutes of this film will make you cry, and this rollercoaster ride of a film will take you to emotional places most films only dream of reaching.
Great and impassioned cast, flawlessly executed story, and an ending that will leave your jaw on the floor. Overall this film is a MUST WATCH!

The movie is set up to feel like a reality film, the wooden acting an unnatural dialogue removes you from this facade. If you've watched the first ten minutes, you've seen the best the movie has to offer.
Open opening, you're left wondering if you are actually watching a reality based story with real human connections. The acting is forced and the dialogue more so as they begin to show scenes that make no sense to even have a camera there.
The message from the movie is that all girls in the Los Vagas escort world are there under the forceful rule of pimps that have trafficked them there. This view offers no balance.
If you are studying film however, this movie offers value as the production mechanics are obvious and it would allow you to easily break down its construction.

That Actual people are surprised by this? Are you lot for real? How many programs and films over the years has there been about Sex Trafficking ?
Vegas was run by the mob, it's not a clean city, there is now a massive drug culture in Vegas, go off the strip see the porn shows, the druggies. 1st went to Vegas in the 80s the Real Vegas with Sands, Dunes that was Vegas baby.
Been there twice since, going again next year as part of Route 66. Last time 4 of us me and the gf and another couple had around 30 cards put into our hands, but what surprised me was how the Vans with ads on the side are allowed to drive around ?
Seems to me the big wheels of Vegas are quite happy for this to carry on, I wonder how much the pimps made over the F1 weekend.
A lot of the women are brought in from overseas the Ukraine, Russia, Asia, etc. It's not new been going on for many years, these girls are tricked into "making their money" or becoming a film star put on drugs.
This looks very scripted, never heard of this geezer before.

This film reminds me of a modern day "found footage" movie but with a twist. I've been to Vegas a handful of times and seen the guys passing out nudie cards on the strip and I always wondered what's really going on behind the scenes... Yeah... this makes me think twice before taking a card from anyone. When you hear about human trafficking, you usually picture some foreign country in South America, Asia or Eastern Europe, but the fact that it's happening right here in the U. S. is terrifying. I think the cast and crew are incredibly brave for doing this and we need more people paying attention to what's going on. Support this movie and share it with your friends!
Fantastic movie! Beyond the Neon will never make you look at Vegas the same way and that's a good thing! It's incredibly eye opening and touches upon things that are really happening, but no one sees.
The movie is not a documntary, but the story documents sex trafficking and what is really happening in Vegas. There's many intense parts, but the film breaks it up with some levity. If you're looking for something new and noteworthy, I'd defintley recommend Beyond the Neon.
The main characters don't know what they're walking into at first, but then discover a world like no other and keep pushing the envelope. The ending is espeically memorable and mind-blowing. Trying not to give away too much, but it's not something you'll forget.

- TriviaAnnie Lobert, who plays herself, is a former call girl and sex industry worker who was trafficked on the Las Vegas strip for over a decade. She founded the survivor-led outreach program and recovery program (Destiny House) for women looking for an escape from the sex industry. Destiny House and the victim interviews featured in Beyond the Neon is real documented footage from real survivors.
- GoofsThe Nevada license plate on the car driven by the undercover officer who gives Tracy the Destiny House flier is the same as on the white van that Kyla's trafficker drives, 2GAT123.

Marlow: None of the escorts are strung out?
High Sunday: Think about it. If you sell dope, you get paid and you're out of dope... but if you sell girls you get paid and you still have the girls. You know what I mean.
