Love the fact that this show uses police recorded interviews and body cam footage to tell the story.
This is really well done. No long boring narrations. Just facts and live video footage. Enjoy!
Having only seen the first episode so far, this looks to be a better than average offering in the true crime genre simply because it uses a fair amount of actual video & audio recordings instead of relying exclusively on the cheesy re-enactments so often used in other series. If future episodes are as good or better than the premier this series has good potential, although one hopes the producers can dig up some interesting cases that haven't already been profiled elsewhere and that they resist the urge to treat viewers like idiots, as is the case with many offerings in this type of show.
I've binge watched a LOT of these types of series, and this one is the best I've seen so far. The interviews of the victims' families and friends are well done and sympathetic, as well as tastefully produced. Even the interviews with some law enforcement is done well. Other series fail in this area.
What I have observed though is the lack of professionalism of some of the emergency operators. I'd say half of the 911 calls played here are questionable at best. The operators have attitudes or ask really odd questions in the middle of these calls. It makes me hesitant to ever dial 911 if I ever have an emergency. One caller was asking for assistance and the operator kept asking what color the victim was, which was not visible to the caller, which he repeated to the dense operator more than once. They never ask if the caller is safe or in danger, they just ask questions off a script.
I do recommend this series for people who like this type of "entertainment".
