Its enjoyable enough. A intriguing premise with a suite of characters that feel pretty standard for this kind of show. At some point, Stephen King properties tend to blend together, especially these more obscure adaptions. Generally, I wouldn't recommend (at least 3 episodes in), but it isn't exactly bad. Just peak mediocrity, with some nepo-casting.
The story seemed very interesting
But the acting threw me off
I don't know if it's supposed to be like that, or it's just people with very little acting experience.
Like there's some scenes where it's supposed to be an action scene, but the characters just not reacting as much.
Someone would say that, the boy's character is like that, very calm but I don't know.
The music choice also in some scenes is wired, I watched the first episode, but couldn't force myself to watch the second.
Maybe it'll get better later, or maybe it's supposed to be for kids.
Any how, great show but not really my cup of tea.

Another series with Stephen King influence. An interesting concept about a school environment for kids with special abilities. The main character is extremely intelligent and uses his wit to investigate the institutes intentions. The dialogue is a bit corny. The acting sometimes feels off but the suspense kept me engaged.
I like the plot. I'm looking forward to seeing more episodes but I'm afraid corny dialogue could dilute the quality of this series. This could easily turn into a bad goosebumps episode. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a show for teens or adults. Reminds me of stranger things but less impactful.

I'm 2 episodes in and there is so much dialog I feel like I'm watching a soap opera. This has become a problem in many of the shows coming out now. Lots of drama and dialogue and very little actual action. I read the book so I'm going to make it through. Hopefully the action picks up. It is a Stephen King after all.
It's refreshing to see tv show of almost extinct variety, one that's intentionally not made for TikTok generation with attention span of the fruit fly and inability to follow more than one line of thought at the same time, bored if there's no fight, or car chase, or cliche video effects every 5 minutes ;)
Stephen King is always hard to transfer to tv/film media, out of tens and hundreds of such deeds, very few have gone even above the half tank mark. This one looks promising - it's hard to imagine that with such a good start it will plummet. But it was known to happen ;))
Another good thing going for the show is, as it's happening in Maine, there are no (so far ;) mandatory rota, "price affordable", actors with hard to understand, heavy accents, that have no origin in the source material.
