The film was started with Amitabh Bachchan,Rekha, Rakesh Roshan, Mehmood ,Keshto , Mukri, Madan Puri,Nasir Hussain in 1978. The film was to be directed by Mehmood. For various reasons the film was shelved. It was restarted with Kabir Bedi and Madhvi in 1990.
