Comedy is very subjective, so I totally see why some would not enjoy a comedy special focussed exclusively on the topic of sex. I didn't enjoy any of Kevin Hart's standup. Literally did not laugh once through 20 minutes of each of them - which is why I stopped watching after 20 minutes. But many people really enjoyed it, so who am I to discredit their tastes? If sex makes you uncomfortable or you have experienced sexual trauma in your life, be warned that Bangin' will offend you at some point. If that happens early on, it will set the tone for the rest of the show, so I would suggest you cut your losses. As a 40 year old married man, this was one of my favorite stand-ups on Netflix. Just when you think it can't get any raunchier, Nikki finds another notch on the dial. Yes, some of the humour is not new, but her delivery, sincerity and personalization of it is genius. I will always be a fan of Nikki after this.
I've never heard anyone talk so intimately and candidly about the conflicting relationship that a woman can have with oral sex, and at the same time make it hilarious.
Unlike her comedy pal Amy Schumer, who made a career out of blaming her sexual misadventures on her low self-esteem, Glaser isn't afraid to show that she enjoys sex, even when it brings her more grief than hope.
This is comedy gold and top-notch storytelling. I suggest that everyone who left a negative review go watch some other cookie-cutter comedian talk about airport food in front of a brick wall for an hour instead. Much like the food in airports, their taste in comedy is bland.

I love Nikki so much on Howard Stern and all of her roasts and literally everywhere I've ever seen her but like this but Jesus, a singular overly developed joke LOL does not constitute an hour special. I know for a fact shes got more in the tank than this and I'm disappointed this is what she chose to lead off with.
I wish I could compare this to a live show or another special but this is what I'm left with for the time being. Shes a force and talent and believe she can turn it around with a more balanced special.

I find a lot of people who review Nikki Glaser, and others want to project that it's more of the usual 'filth'. The funny thing is, they always specify 'another WOMAN telling raunchy jokes' but they don't say 'Another MAN telling di*k jokes'. It's actually refreshing to hear her be honest in a self-deprecating way AND give a glimpse into some pre and post-sex behavior, along with her priorities. I think the negative reviews are from people who had their mind made up before even seeing it (if they saw it at all). Give it a try for 10 minutes and if you don't like it, then go watch Jeselnik or someone else. Don't listen to people who dislike it for the sake of disliking it.
I felt the need to defend Nikki after seeing multiple ratings of 2 and 3. I get it, the critics rightly point out its rather one dimensional material: the sexual insecurities of women. But damn it's funny. I'm a straight male, I usually hate this sort of material (for example, Amy Schumer can suck it), but I genuinely couldn't stop laughing. Not for everyone, agreed, perhaps, but she's got skills.
