The whole movie was very engaging and the ending was unique and haunting. Very impressive acting, storytelling, and the music was integrated perfectly.
I expected the ending to be executed in a stereotypical "redeeming" ending, but the way the characters made their decision made sense.
The main characters defying the stereotypes of being "good people" also added to the depth of the movie.

I enjoyed The Devil and the Daylong Brothers quite a bit. It's strengths were it's sharp writing (reminiscent of a Coen brothers film), catchy songs, and how well it nails the Southern Gothic style. Unfortunately the director's vision exceeded his budget in some of the action scenes but having many of them be musical numbers helps with that. True to the genre, the film explores the darker side of human nature so it's not for everyone but if you can stomach the violence and general evil constantly on display there is a powerful portrayal of mercy in the climax. I would love to see more of the Daylong Brothers quest to get their souls back.
The Devil and the Daylong Brothers is a wickedly entertaining, blood-soaked symphony of Southern Gothic revenge, supernatural intrigue, and foot-stomping blues. This genre-bending masterpiece follows three estranged brothers-Ishmael, Enoch, and Abraham-on a relentless, music-fueled quest to hunt down the father who doomed them before they were even born. Sold to the Devil for their father's personal gain, they now work as collectors of souls, chasing down those who made deals with the Devil just like their old man. Their ultimate goal? To settle the score with him once and for all.
With a richly woven mythology and an electrifying mix of action, horror, and dark humor, the film never lets up. The music is nothing short of spectacular-soulful, bluesy, and seamlessly intertwined with the narrative, heightening every moment without ever feeling intrusive. The lead actors deliver powerhouse performances, balancing grit, charm, and pitch-perfect timing, making these blood-stained antiheroes impossible not to root for.
Thrilling, stylish, and dripping with Southern-fried menace, The Devil and the Daylong Brothers is a wild, vengeful road trip you won't want to miss.

It is a terrible movie with lots of music that happens in the southern backwoods.
Or is it a really bad western located in the southern backwoods with lots of music?
Or it is a long music video with singing cowboys set in the southern backwoods.
Whatever it is, please skip it to save whatever few left brain cells. This film is all over the place, without any rhyme or reason. It has a cowboy vibe, but it is not set in the southern backwoods. It wants to be a comedy, but not funny....ever. Maybe it will be an action thriller? Nope. The action is three stooges, slapstick, and no tension. It is three guys hamming it up in front of a camera(not a movie camera, an iPhone 12, maybe) and singing. Yes...that is it.

I wasn't sure what to make of this show at first. But I am so glad I watched it. To me, it was if you crossed Supernatural with a Broadway show. I think the songs were great! It presented a good story line and the acting was great. Though, to be honest, I felt Jordan's performance was way over the top. And I don't mean to knock him. I am sure he is very talented actor. I don't know if the actors actually did the singing in the movie, but if they did, kudos! To me this was actually scripted to be a Broadway show originally instead of a movie. But if it wasn't, they should consider making it one.
