    The Tidy Apartment

Penny bought a new furniture and asks Leonard if he can receive the delivery for her. He agrees and she gives a copy of her apartment key to him. Leonard and Sheldon find that her apartment is a complete mess. During the night, Sheldon's Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) affects his sleep and sneaks into Penny's apartment to clean and straighten. Leonard misses Sheldon and ends helping him in his task. When Penny discovers that they went to her apartment while she was sleeping, she becomes mad at them.

"The Big Bran Hypothesis" is another funny episode of "The Big Bang Theory". First, with Leonard and Sheldon receiving the heavy package of Penny and needing to carry it to the fourth floor without the out-of-service elevator. Then, Sheldon's OCD is hilarious, needing to straighten out and clean up Penny's apartment to be able to sleep. Last but not the least, Penny furious with Leonard and Sheldon, with Leonard trying to explain her what happened. My vote is eight.

    The Big Bran Hypothesis

It's just fun to come back and watch these very very early episodes from the first series of 'The Big Bang Theory' and see how things were when it was in that 'beauty and the geeks' era from what would become a twelve year run.

The interplay is nice here, and there's some good early development of the character of Raj and Howard, though they are still side characters away from the main trio at this point.

Full of nice lines and moments, not to mention a huge amount of potential/promise, this is a nice episode to revisit all these many years later.

It's eighteen years old at the time of writing - time flies!

    Whoops?

When Sheldon knocks on the door to apologize to Penny, he knocks one time without even saying "Penny". Now I'm curious as you when his tic actually starts, or if it's a whoops on production.

Another great episodes - sadly with unfortunate conveniences

The nerds make a big deal out of the scientifical inaccuracy of Superman catching the falling Lois Lane who is falling from a skyscraper Sheldon points out that she would have been cut into 3 pieces while superman catches her with his iron arms 2 feet above the ground In fact: He catches her not even half way to the ground with a charming smile and also has time for the helicopter I really like BBT (on my 3rd run), still it often insults movies or claims to know more than it actually does so get your facts straight for the last 4 episodes!

    Penny the Pig

The boys make a connection with their beautiful neighbor by going into her apartment. Sheldon's impulsiveness is brought to the fore when we come to realize he can't stand any sort of mess. There is a bit of a bonding thing here. Penny could have distanced herself forever, but she picks up on the relative harmlessness of these schmucks.

    • Trivia
This is the only time where a different camera angle for the staircase is seen, when they are trying to push up Penny's furniture.
    • Goofs
While putting Penny's furniture together, Howard complains over how IKEA's assembly manual represents the least imaginative way of putting the parts together. He states that this is why Sweden has no space program. On the contrary, Sweden has a highly developed space program, most notably its research center and rocket range Esrange, which has been used for launching over 700 rockets into space since 1966.

Penny: You came into my apartment last night while I was sleeping?

Leonard: Yes, but only to clean.

Sheldon: Really more to organize. You're not actually dirty, per se.

Penny: Give me back my key.

      [Leonard hands said key back]

      Leonard: I'm very, very sorry.

Penny: Do you understand how creepy this is?

Leonard: Uh, yes. We discussed it at length last night.

Penny: In my apartment? While I was *sleeping*?

Sheldon: And snoring. And that's probably just a sinus infection. But it could be sleep apnea. You might wanna see an otorhinolaryngologist. The throat doctor.

Penny: And what kind of doctor removes shoes from asses?

Sheldon: Depending on the depth, that's either a proctologist or a general surgeon.

[behind Penny, Leonard holds up a piece of paper with "sarcasm" scribbled on it]

      Sheldon: Oh.

CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #184 Don't fall for a woman who has had sex with one of your rock n'roll heroes. No matter how emotionally evolved you think you are, you will never enjoy listening to Eric Clapton again. Don't lurk around web sites where people comment about your work unless you're drunk. Don't use emoticons. You're too old to communicate like a twelve year old girl. Don't forget that you are the product of a culture that went stark raving mad about ten thousand years ago. Adjust your thinking accordingly. Don't answer TV critics question about the state of TV comedy. It's a trap. Don't eat anything bigger than your head. True in the sixties, true today. Don't believe that crap that you're as young as you feel. Your feelings lie. Don't hug men while shaking their hand. Enough already with that. The shake/hug (shug?) is probably something Roman guys did when their empire was in decline.
