June, Carol and Grady in society.

During the 1930s, Carol Tevis and June Brewster made a string of modestly enjoyable shorts. Often, Grady Sutton co-starred in these films. "Walking Back Home" is one of these shorts...and while pleasant enough to watch, it's light on laughs.

Through a series of events, June and Carol end up at a swank society party...as does Grady. The problem is that they really don't belong there and they hope they aren't discovered.

As I said above, there really aren't many laughs in this one. This being said, it's pleasant enough viewing...if you aren't super demanding or are trying to see all the Brewster/Tevis shorts.

Those Cars Are Always Running Out Of Gas

Here we are in the second installment of 'The Blondes and the Redheads', with June Brewster on the lookout for millionaires, and bubble-voiced and brained Carol Tevis an item with Grady Sutton. They're carhops at a White Castle knockout; he's handling a gas pump, when in comes Landers Stevens -- director George Stevens' father. They have the same last name! Landers Stevens and Sutton, that is. In the movie.

It's RKO's response to Roach's 'The Girl Friends', and they did eleven of them from 1933 through 1935. This one has some fine gags, and is definitely pre-code.
