Let's get this out of the way, there is a drop in animation quality as episodes 2-4 were done by a different studio with much less rotoscoping. There are animation errors and the pacing is jarring at times. Even still, it is a miracle that this show made it to release and episode two continues the creepy and unnerving vibe of episode one. I don't think many people realize how much the pandemic altered the arts and, while it sucks that this episode and the next two are done by a different studio and are not fully rotoscoped, this is what needed to be done to get the show released. The HBO/Discovery merger axed dozens of great shows and somehow Uzumaki spiraled its way out to release. This is still the best Ito animation adaptation and the show is still a top tier horror mini series.
What truly bothers me is that I feel cheated. Yes, I understand that animators are often exploited, but you kept pushing the release for years. I thought maybe they were giving the team time to breathe and create something decent. Episode one came out, and it was amazing. But then we got this piece of trash. I can't even explain how disappointing it is.
I feel cheated because it seems like the strategy was, "Let's spend all the resources on episode one to hook them, and then let them watch garbage for the rest of the series." The animation looks like that nightmare Zelda game. The pacing is some of the worst I've ever seen. I was going to give this a higher rating, but I feel so deceived that it's a one for me.
Now I don't know if I want to watch the remaining episodes.

The animation in this episode is awful.
What happened? This episode must have had a different production team. I feel a bit cheated to finish episode 1 and move onto this mess.
Did they really need years to animate THIS?
The movement is stiff, everything looks ugly, the way characters move doesn't follow rules of proportion or perspective. This episode is like if someone made a cheap bootleg of episode 1. This is a shame because if the rest of the episodes had the same animation quality and pacing as episode 1 this could have been successful.
I could never recommend watching this over reading the manga which is so beautifully and carefully drawn.

Let me start off by saying I am a huge fan of Uzumaki & Junji Ito. He's an amazing artist who makes some spectacularly creepy & creative work. He is one of the best in the horror genre no question about it.
The drop in animation quality for this adaptation from episode one to episode two is just absolutely horrendous.. Drive Studio & Adult Swim should be ashamed of themselves for actually thinking this was worthy of being released to the public. Hopefully the last two episodes don't suffer the same quality of poor animation that episode two did. This is a story that deserves the best quality. The pacing of the story doesn't seem too great either but its not terribly bad though. It is only 4 episodes so I guess you can't really ask for too much detail.

Okay so this is very dissapointing. The first episode was great and as a fan Junji Ito's works I was really happy with the way they adapted "Uzumaki". Unfortunately episode 2 was not as good.
Pacing issues were noticable in the first episode, but it didn't feel rushed. Episode 2 goes at a very fast pace that doesn't respect the source material enough. Tbh episode 2 does cover my least favorite part of the Manga, but even still the source material is good enough and this should be better.
The most dissapointing thing in this episode is the animation quality. The animation quality compared to the first episode is ridiculously bad. Some of the animations made me laugh because they were so poorly done. Problem with the budget? Maybe, but still it's just 4 episodes.
Hopefully the last two episodes are better. I'm going in with low expectations and maybe they manage to pull me back in to this story and world that deserves alot more than what we got in this episode.
