The first day at the theater and already an exemplary Bangla Film, I think. People will discuss this film for quite a while...
Each freaking actor was cracking amazing! Each crew member buckled down making this film which is plainly apparent in the whole Cinema !
A classic already !

Ill fortune follows on the boat of Chan Majhi (Chanchal Chowdhury), when his group of fishermen finds a beautiful young woman in their fishing net at the mid-sea. Tension rises along with mistrust, misfortune and body-count when mystery surrounding the 'mute-woman' gradually starts to reveal with deadly consequences.
Beautifully shot, capturing the ever lustful appeal of Bay of Bengal and nuances of life on the sea, director Mejbaur Rahman Sumon mostly succeeds in HAWA for skillful framing and some stunning cinematography. But a big thumbs up also goes to the whole cast for their standout performances on their respective roles.
Based on a Siren-like local folklore, HAWA is a pleasant surprise for a Bangladeshi cinema that offers a twisted tale of supernatural with a little dose of "Slasher" also in its tensed 2nd half! Considering the general standard of genre-filmmaking in BD, the film indeed deserves all the hype.

From the very beginning, the cinematography of the movie catches the eyes. Color grading, Camerawork, Music and Acting - all are totally on point. But, when the storytelling parts come, there are so many "but" and "why" that need to be answered.
The first half of the movie is a kind of story buildup time and after the interval, events got pace. My only regret is that a movie that could be a masterpiece with a rating of 9 easy, ended up being a great movie with an average story, just like the last season of "Game of Thrones". Only if they changed a couple of events at the end, it could be a long-remembered classic in Bangla Movie Industry.

The regret is actually created because of the hype which was created before release. Expectations were high and "Hawa" was quite successful in fulfilling that expectation. The acting was best of the best. Screenplay, script, dialogue, direction, cinematography, characters and everything was so perfect and excellent where the only thing which was lacking was "Story". There is a positive side to this also. As the story is not very complex, everyone will understand the story and the movie will be for everyone.
If the hype was not created, like, suddenly it had been released in an OTT platform or in few halls, then the craze it would create is beyond imagination.
Overall Hawa is great.

Overall Hawa is great.
First of all yes it is a slow burn but the cinematography and the ambience is so fantastic it won't ever let you feel bored. Then comes the stellar acting performances by the whole cast. Chanchal chowdhury was fabulous.
