The Curious Case of the Murder That Wasn't

I caught this film on you tube and it was such a fun little short. I absolutely adore all things detective - particuarly the monks, Jessica Fletchers and Columbos of the genre and this is a homage to all. It was fun to note the in jokes and references. If you're a fan of Diagnosis Murder, Murder SHe Wrote, Sherlock Holmes and Columbo series then it's definately worth a watch.

Yes there are a few kinks as there usually is with indie films but it's nothing that's particuarly distracting from the overall story.

The acting is great in particular from the actress that plays JB - she's really got the mannerisms down. I did enjoy the Steve cameo too.

Maybe in the future, all the characters are great and interact very good together

The efforts of everyone involved in this gem of a short film really make it stand out. The wonderful characters are given quick and witty dialogue that had us discussing the film for much longer than its actual runtime. Hope to see more from Resurrection Films

This short featuring Jessica Fletcher, Frank Columbo, and Mark Sloan is totally different of what you could expect from a movie featuring such detectives, especially when Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie are also involved.

However, the original approach is what makes it an outstanding homage. The cast is great (with special mention to Daniel Edward Miller as Lt Columbo, and Zak as Dog). The writers' love for the original characters and their deep knowledge of their long careers show throughout the whole movie. And, the unexpected ending is pure genius.

Don't hesitate. Watching this movie is time well spent.
