Although scarves may be accessories, they are essential and have their own category in most stores. Yes, they keep your neck and shoulders warm, but they also add dimensions to an outfit like no other accessory.
Many of the top movie moments are graced by scarves—they may even have revolved around them without us realizing it. There are probably hundreds of them out there, but here are our top five choices, from classics to contemporary.
5. Audrey Hepburn’s Stunning Red Scarf in Funny Face (1957)

While she claims to be taller in interviews, Isla Fisher is believed to measure just 5ft 2 (157.5 cm), making her shorter than the average American woman.
Isla Fisher’s shoe size is 8 in the US, 6 in the UK, and 38 in the European. “I’m 5ft 3ins and about 6st 10Ib (94lbs), although I don’t weigh myself – I don’t own scales,” she told The Mirror in 1998.

Height Challenges While Filming ‘Wedding Crashers’
In a 2005 interview with Edinburgh Evening News, she talked about filming the American comedy film Wedding Crashers with Vince Vaughn, who measures 6ft 5 (195.6 cm).
It was difficult to get a rapport in the beginning with Vince though, because my eyes met his belly button, he’s so tall.

Hollywood actress Isla Fisher is no stranger to comedy. She has been a part of a number of memorable films in the genre including Wedding Crashers, Confessions of a Shopaholic, and Hot Rod. You would think Fisher would have gotten used to the occasionally bizarre requirements of the genre and the lengths that actors will go to for a laugh.
But as it turns out, the actress was not prepared for one particular scene involving an elephant in the movie Isla Fisher made with her then-husband Sacha Baron Cohen, 2016’s The Brothers Grimsby. Cohen, of course, is known for pushing the boundaries of comedy like no other actor working today. Things got so intense that Fisher regretted bringing her parents on set to watch the scene being filmed.

[This story contains spoilers from the season two finale of Wolf Like Me.]
In the final scene of season two of Peacock’s comedy-drama Wolf Like Me, Mary (Isla Fisher) gives birth to her baby with boyfriend Gary (Josh Gad), revealing its identity as a wolf. Anxiety over whether their child would be a human or animal was at the center of most of the conflict throughout the show’s second season. But the streamer has yet to announce if audiences will get to see how Mary, Gary and his daughter Emma (Ariel Donoghue) will handle life raising a wolf offspring in a potential season three.
“Right now, we don’t know if we’re going to get to make Wolf Like Me 3. But it’s such an exciting time to be on Peacock, and when we do make it, they really let us push the boundaries and create the series we want to,” Fisher tells The Hollywood Reporter in the conversation below.

Hello and welcome to the Scene 2 Seen Podcast. I am Valerie Complex, an associate editor and film writer at Deadline.
Today, I am chatting with writer-actress-singer Phylicia Pearl Mpasi, who stars as young Celie in the new musical film version of The Color Purple, and with Fatima Robinson, the famed choreographer who helped create the movie’s spectacular dance pieces.

David Fincher’s new film is definitely a sleek and captivating watch for those who are interested in the methodical and precise nature of all things Fincher. The subject matter isn’t something new, and the character study comes across like many films we’ve seen before, Drive or American Psycho being the first that comes to mind. The film is a stylized study of the days of a killer after something goes terribly wrong, leaving him to defend himself. Michael Fassbender stars in and as The Killer, and the Irish actor is a delight to watch. The film begins in Paris in the first chapter. The assassin awaits his target’s arrival and goes about his boring day as we hear his inner voice (in very Fincher style).
Spoilers Ahead

Look, not every month is gonna be full of bangers. Amazon Prime Video’s list of new releases for March 2022 is extremely light but still has a couple of good options for streaming obsessives.
The biggest title this month is undoubtedly The Boys Presents: Diabolical on March 4. This series presents eight different stories set in The Boys‘ universe, all offered up by different writers. Since each of the eight mini-episodes are animated, it’s probably fair to say this is The Boys‘ Animatrix. Call it the “Anivought”.

Also arriving on March 4 is season 2 of the high concept comedy Upload. Set in a digital afterlife, this series created by The Office‘s Greg Daniels asks some big questions about where technology is taking us.

Through much of 2021, streaming service Disney+ has been Marvel’s domain. That’ll happen when you premiere WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, and What If…? within eight months of one another. With the Disney+ list of new releases for September 2021, however, Disney’s other big franchise is striking back.
Star Wars: Visions is set to premiere all seven installments on Wednesday, September 22. This project is a collection of 7 animated short films all from renowned Japanese studios. As you can see by this first teaser, it could be rad. These seven shorts should also make the wait for The Mandalorian season 3 and The Book of Boba Fett even easier.
While Marvel’s What If…? continues on this month, the only other major Disney+ original to premiere in September is Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. As you might be able to guess from the name, this is a reboot of the sitcom Doogie Howser,...

It’s summer, everyone! And with its relatively sparse list of new releases for July 2021, Hulu seems to be subtlety imploring its subscribers to go outside.
Don’t get us wrong: Hulu’s library offerings get a big upgrade this month. July 1 sees the arrival of great films like Galaxy Quest, Fargo, and Caddyshack. Bill and Ted Face the Music premieres on July 2 and its followed by Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar on July 9. Not bad stuff! It’s just that, outside of the library titles, there isn’t much to go off of.
Hulu’s only major original release this month is the FX on Hulu production American Horror Stories on July 15. As its name implies, the show is a spinoff of American Horror Story and will feature self-contained horror episodes rather than a season-long arc. If you’ll allow this geriatric millennial to deploy one truly ancient meme: “Yo dawg,...

Continuing our series of writers standing up for loathed films is a defense of an unusual, risk-taking animation from 2000
Earth explodes into smithereens within the first few minutes of Don Bluth and Gary Goldman’s animated sci-fi adventure Titan Ae. Erroneously targeted at young audiences, since it features the near annihilation of the human species as its inciting incident, as well as other mature elements, the film raised some eyebrows upon its release in 2000. The directors were making something distinct, a departure from the dominance of Disney fables during the 90s but right before other studios, such as Blue Sky and DreamWorks, found success with more satirical storytelling throughout the early noughties. Bluth’s career, in particular, had been unconventional and based on reinvention. With Titan, that artistic approach reached its riskiest, most pattern-defying form.

Director Elise Duran’s “Can You Keep A Secret?” makes it clear from the very first moments the animated opening credits play over the Go-Go’s “Our Lips Are Sealed” that it’s going to be a sweet, if not satisfactory time spent in the golden-hour glow of this romantic comedy’s world. Based on Sophie Kinsella’s book, her first standalone novel after the success of her “Confessions of a Shopaholic” series, . That said, it lacks a sense of uniqueness to set it apart from other female-centric book-to-screen adaptations.
Emma Corrigan (Alexandra Daddario) isn’t living her best life. Not only is she stuck in a dead-end job as a marketing manager at a financially flailing organic edibles company, she feels trapped in a lackluster romance with doting but dorky boyfriend Connor (David Ebert). In an age where theaters are being dominated by superhero films and franchise sequels, reboots, and revivals, there just doesn’t seem to be a lot of room in Hollywood for your typical, run-of-the-mill, charming rom-com anymore. Well, that’s where films like “Can You Keep A Secret?” come in.
As seen in the first trailer for the film, “Can You Keep A Secret?” is based on the novel by “Confessions of a Shopaholic” author Sophie Kinsella and tells the story of a man and woman that have their “meet cute” on an airplane where the woman drunkenly spills her guts to the male stranger during a bit of turbulence.

Some movies are meant to make us laugh or cry or feel nostalgic, and everyone has that one film that does all three. For me, they come in the form of feel-good classics like Matilda, Forrest Gump, Confessions of a Shopaholic, and The Devil Wears Prada - one for each of the most important stages of my life. Feel-good movies are the kind that give off more than just good vibes. They're something special, the kinds of stories that resonate with you so effortlessly it's almost as if you scripted every scene in your mind before ever hitting play. It's like running into an old friend every time you watch it, transporting you to your happy place no matter where you are, giving off a sense of comfort while being funny, romantic, and captivating countless times over.

Today is National Look-Alike day, and so naturally we're here to take a look at some startlingly similar actors and actresses in film.
Have you ever watched a movie thinking it was one actor on screen, only to realize later that it was actually someone who just looked a lot like them? We've been there, and we'll admit that we've mixed up these actors before. Who hasn't thought that Frodo was Harry, and Harry was Frodo? We've also confused Gandalf and Dumbledore, but we're trying to put that one behind us.
The following actors could quite possibly be related, if we looked at their ancestral charts. If that's not the case then we can't explain the phenomenon of their nearly identical likenesses. We wish we had a celebrity twin.

The Dressmaker is hitting on September 23rd, and if you haven’t heard much about it, make sure you put this one on your calendar.
The trailer will hopefully convince you on its own, possibly because of the cast, and possibly because of the quirky story, but if you aren’t immediately on board, don’t overlook the husband and wife writing/directing duo behind the camera.
Jocelyn Moorhouse directs from a script penned by her and her husband, P.J. Hogan, and you’re probably a fan of a fair amount of their work. The Dressmaker looks to be just the sort of film to capitalize on their talents.
Moorhouse doesn’t have a huge list of credits, but she did direct How to Make an American Quilt, which is a woefully undervalued film, especially if you look at specifically for the direction.
Hogan is much better known, writing and/or directing Muriel’s Wedding,...

Entertainment Geekly is a weekly column that examines pop culture through a geek lens and simultaneously examines contemporary geek culture through a pop lens. So many lenses!
To clarify the headline above: I liked True Detective and Fargo. They were well-acted, well-shot, well-dialogued. HBO’s mystery melodrama and FX’s Coen remix had different tones and different site-specific atmospheres–moody nihilism vs. screwball nihilism, sunbaked desolation vs. snowcaked void, Southern Swamp Gothic vs. Frozen Norman Rockwell–but if you watched them live when they aired, then you knitted together an 18-episode viewing experience representing a snapshot of Why TV Drama Is Interesting Now.
