In all honesty the only actor who wasn't wooden and less than amateurish was Chinook. However, the scenery was amazing. There were so many events in this movie that anyone in the woods, even a novice would have known better than to do. A fifth grader probably could have done a better job of writing the actors lines than Richard Boddington (sorry Mr. Boddington). Oh my gosh, between the combination of a terrible script and poor acting the movie just keeps getting worse and worse. However, the scenery is amazing. The trailer definitely does not accurately describe how poorly scripted and acted Hero Dog: The Journey Home really is. I've seen better acting from elementary school children. However, the scenery is amazing!
Beautiful scenery but Horrible acting by everyone except the dog!
I enjoyed to scenery and (most of) the cinematography. There were, however, too many holes in the story and a lack of continuity in the editing to earn my undivided attention. That said, filmmaking is hard work. I'm sure everyone involved learned a lot as they made this, and will add their experience to their next project.
No profanity, no unnecessary characters or situations, and nothing that would prevent you from sitting down with your kids, your mom, or your grandma to watch this one.
The data shows an estimated $2M budget, and I hope they earned every cent of it back on this scenic endeavor.

I'm adult and I loved this movie. The characters are terrific, the scenery is beautiful, and it has a lovely message and story line. I highly recommend this movie for anyone.
Great performances from the cast, and beautiful scenery, combine to make this a very memorable family classic that will be around for years.
