How did she get a show?!
Can Tarik Davis be the host instead? He at least has humor, wit, charisma and comedic timing, all things that Amber Ruffin lacks. Maybe if she says her lines with an even bigger toothy smile they'll be funny.... Nope, didn't work. Evert time she opens her mouth it's just cringy and off-putting. I tried watching a few episodes but end up changing the channel, actually feeling bad for her while thinking "no girl, please stop"

It's easy to get tired of the same old jokes from regular late night shows. This offers a fresh perspective, no matter one's political stance. The show is filled with really good stuff, delivered fantastically well. Amber Ruffin is great on Seth Myers, and is even better here, with a chance to do longer forms of her material. She's the comic (and often brutal social commentator) who I enjoy the most next to Frankie Boyle. Her interaction with guests is joyous, and she clearly has a great team of writers on her side. Favourite sections for me are the monologue and the "How Did We Get here" parts, which should probably be required watching for anyone who doesn't know their history - it's certainly taught me a few things!
To be honest, I've never watched this show. I've liked Amber Ruffin in other things I've seen her in. Obviously this show has been review bombed by a bunch of sad white baby-men. Sorry Black women are so scary to you.
To be fair, I was always rooting for Amber's show, yet early episodes were so full of songs and filler ramblings, without much structure.
Recent episodes, as of 3/11/22, have TOTALLY RAISED THE BAR, with a solid monologue, fun bits, some infotainment welcome by me, and yeah still some songs which are now MUCH funnier than past performances.
This show has grown over a short period of time so much.
Went from cheering for the show to CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!

I laugh more consistently watching this show than any other late night show. And the effort they put in (with no guests to lean on) is impressive. They create original songs every episode and try out new creative bits to keep it fresh. I just get bored with the segments where she gives a straightforward lecture that's just a collection of oversimplified liberal talking points. I can usually enjoy funny satire from different perspectives, but I don't see the point in those preachy pieces. Anyway, the goofy and bright style of humor in the rest of the show keeps me coming back.
