This short film is based on a true story. It is a romantic drama called "It's Not About You." The story takes place on the beautiful island, of Catalina. Catherine Edwards is a free-spirited spiritual Christian African-American woman who comes to Catalina Island to escape a devastating breakup with her fiance. Catherine, with the help of her Romanian friend Yuric, takes on the task of making a connection with the shy, reclusive passionate musician Richard Murdock. Murdock is at first shocked by Catherine's spirituality and her embrace of God's love but as he gets to know her, he finds himself increasingly attracted to her. As she gets to know him better, she finds herself increasingly attracted to him. Does she stay on the island with the man she thinks she knows and loves; or does she follow what God is showing her?
