My Husband's Boss: The Power Position

Jacky St. James takes on the controversy concerning claims of sexual harassment, and implicitly the backlash confronting the Metoo movement, in this well-acted drama for Sweet Sinner.

It unfolds with Ana Foxxx as a corporate lawyer (or h.r. executive, it's not made clear which) interviewing various employees about a claim of sexual harassment lodged by Damon Dice against his boss Jessa Rhodes. The role reversal is significant, as the issue of a female forcing a male subordinate to have sex with her is an intriguing variation on the theme, and gives rise to conflicting points of view.

Supporting Dice in his claim is his wife Casey Calvert, giving an understated, powerful performance that rewards Jacky's entrusting her with the lion's share of the dialog. Many flashbacks depict the key scene in question, a hot sexual tryst in the bathroom of a restaurant where the employees have gone together after work. The he said/she said accounts of the incident are enacted for us, prior to seeing the entire uncut sex scene.

Both Jacky and her frequent collaborator Shawn Alff appear in brief NonSex acting roles as fellow employees giving testimony, and a relative newcomer to the porn wars Quinton James plays a reporter who is documenting the case. Jacky leaves the issue (and movie) open-ended by concluding the DVD before Ana's investigative results would be announced.

Shooting title "Power Position" is more appropriate here, as the typical Sweet Sinner moniker "My Husband's Boss" is misleading, as it implies the show is being told from Casey's point-of-view regarding the behavior of boss Jessa, when in fact Casey turns out to be the antagonist, not the protagonist in the story.
